However, in case of an emergency, the door can be opened with one single grasp. While pressing down the door handle the door guard moves down vertically to free the door handle. As soon as the door handle touches the door guard housing a pre-alarm is triggered which warns against unauthorised use. It stops when the door handle is released. After the door handle is pushed down with a single grasp a permanent signal is emitted and people can pass the emergency exit door. The only way to reset the door guard to its protective position and to stop the alarm is with key. It is possible to release the door guard for authorised passage with the key.
