3KS (3 Curve System) works with a unique and patented system that requires no springs. Unlike conventional locking systems, in the 3KS cylinder the locking elements move along the curves on the key and are not pushed against a spring force.
During the locking action, the 3KS key is scanned a total of 4 times – this is three times more than with other systems. The springless locking pin function guarantees utmost wear resistance and protection against picking. This technology means that there are reams of variations for cylinder master key systems.

Function
12 springless, massive bolting elements (= locking pins) are brought into specific positions via positive control of the 6 key curves, and are scanned via 2 pressure sliders. A locking bar in the core controls the cross-section profiling of the key.

Protection against break ins
- Drilling and core pulling protection:
- Hard metal pressure slider in the core and hard metal pins in the housing guarantee protection against drilling and core pulling.
- Scanning protection:
- 12 springless locking pins with a total of 18 control pins would have to be brought into a specified position simultaneously in order for it to be possible to rotate the core.
- Pulling and ripping protection:
- Clawed locking pins and profile bars, as well as the corresponding high security module with hard metal pins, offer protection against snapping and ripping of the cylinder housing and/or pulling the cylinder core out.
- Key tampering protection:
- It is extremely hard to copy the key due to the restricted tolerances and the precise parallelism required.
Function and advantages of the modular design
- Using the module system you can adjust the cylinder length on site yourself, or you can allocate a particular function to the cylinder (e.g. lockable on both sides). This means that you can benefit from flexible solutions, and reduce the necessary time and expenses.
