DPX locking cylinder DPX represents an innovative locking technique with 4 independent security levels. This means maximum security for all applications at minimum cost.
The new door guard with one-hand operation secures the emergency exit and allows its opening with one single grasp
The principle In the locking position the door guard secures the door handle. However, in case of an emergency, the door can be opened with one single grasp. While pressing down the door handle the door guard moves down vertically to free the door handle. As soon as the door handle touches the door guard housing a pre-alarm is triggered which warns against unauthorised use.
It stops when the door handle is released. After the door handle is pushed down with a single grasp a permanent signal is emitted and people can pass the emergency exit door. The only way to reset the door guard to its protective position and to stop the alarm is with key. It is possible to release the door guard for authorised passage with the key. Furthermore the door can also be opened for a single passing without triggering the alarm with the key.
Closed position The hinderence threshold underneath the door handle is in place. However the door can be opened with a single grasp.
Individual passing Authorised persons do not use the door handle. Instead they open the door by unlocking the catch lock without setting off the alarm.
Emergency opening While pressing down the door guard automatically moves down vertically. It is possible to use the emergency exit with one single grasp. A permanent alarm signal is triggered. It is switched off with the key.
Permanent passing With the key of the device the door guard can be pushed down without triggering the alarm. The door can be opened 'normally'.
